Four Burger at Don Antonio, Commonwealth

Update as of July 2018: Four Burger has closed down :(

With lots of new restaurants on the rise, Don Antonio is quickly becoming the next food hub in Quezon City.

One of the newest food establishments in the area is

, located inside Jetti Gas Station along Don Antonio Heights Holy Spirit Drive.

My friends from the neighbourhood have been posting good reviews about their burgers (duh), and being the huge burger fanatic that I am,  I decided to give this place a try. My sister and I went together on a Monday night to celebrate the fact that we survived living alone together without us burning the house down or something. HAHAHA. (Backstory: our parents were away for a month and left Ate and I responsible for ourselves. Lol.)

Four Burger

has both indoor and outdoor seating. I really like the retro ice cream parlor vibes of the place. The campervan was a really cute idea!

Outdoor seating

Entrance to the air conditioned room.

When we got to the place, we had the room all to ourselves. Around 15 minutes after I took photos, 3 more families came in.

The place was really cute, although I do have something to say about its ambiance. When we got there, they were playing sad music from a radio show. We requested them to change the music to something happier. They apologized and put on nicer songs from a playlist. I really appreciated how their staff was really friendly and accommodating. :)

The pricelist ranges from 95 pesos to 190 pesos. They had burgers, sausages, ribs, rice meals, chicken wings, fajitas, and milkshakes.

 Bacon Mushroom Burger (125 pesos)

The burger was great! It was juicy and tasty, just the way I like it. The fries were okay.

Considering that it's just 125 bucks, the meal was pretty good! :)

Chicken Fingers and Fries (120 pesos), Vanilla Milkshake (90 pesos)

Chicken fingers were okay. They were actually good but I guess "naumay kami agad".

Vanilla milkshake was okay. I requested for them to have my milkshake blended again cause it still had bits of ice the first time.

The burger was a winner, tho!! I'm definitely coming back for it.

I heard Four Burger's ribs and wings are really good.

I'm going back one of these days to try them (I'll make sure to update this post by then!)

Hahaha okay quick backstory: Original plan was to go Zumba dancing (lol), but yuuup, I somehow ended up having burgers and milkshake with my sib instead. No regrets tho!

Cause sibling dinner dates means getting to talk about life and growing up with my best friend. <3

Thanks for the good food, Four Burger! I'm definitely coming back to try more things on your menu. I love how this place is literally a 5-minute drive from our village-- so convenient!!

Check them out, guys!

Noriter: A Cozy Cafe in Taft, Manila

Most students in Taft have, at least once in their lives, gone to Noriter-- the famous Korean Cafe located in front of the De La Salle University. Known for its cozy, artsy, and Instagram-worthy ambiance, people go to this cafe to study and to chill.

The cafe serves coffees, desserts, and even meals. I must admit that the food and coffee aren't much (taste and quality wise, they're just so-so), and that the price range is a little too much for students (it ranges from 100 pesos to 165 pesos), but it's a really nice place to go to if you just want to take good pictures or if you're looking for a quiet place to study or to chill at.

The whole place is filled with vandalisms-- which is pretty cool. You have the freedom to leave your mark on anything, anywhere.

The place is so artsy, too! Everything's in line with the theme, even down to the last detail.

The room is very spacious. They have long tables and even two-level bunks.

I was with my blockmates (aka study group..yehess!!) , JR and Mona, when I first visited Noriter. We started on our papers and studied for our exam over coffee and pasta.

Their coffee was very milky and sweet. Mona didn't like it, but I loved it. (Pambata talaga panlasa ko, guys. HAHA.)

I had carbonara for PHP 160. It's a little expensive but I thought it was pretty darn good!! It was meaty and creamy.

Lovin' the tiny decorations!!

Cute water dispenser!

Price- 2.5/5
Food- 3/5
Ambiance- 4/5

Do I recommend this place?
If you're someone who loves to take pictures, I'd definitely recommend Noriter! You're sure to have a great time with your friends here. :)

Fat Grill: A Must Try Hole-In-The-Wall Restaurant in LIPA, BATANGAS

Hey, guys!

My family and I spent Father's Day this year at Batangas to watch the premier screening of my sister's indie film, "Ligaw". Before heading to the big screen, we first attended church service at Victory Christian Fellowship, and then went out to eat lunch with our local friends.

When we said we wanted to try something unique to the city, they took us to one of the best hole-in-the-wall restaurants in Lipa City, Batangas--

Fat Grill is a small restaurant located right beside Caltex gasoline station and De La Salle Lipa. They serve delicious food for very affordable prices!

I wanted to try the Wild Wild West (PHP 85, slow cooked and tender country style bbq pork), but they ran out of it, so I had the Chow that Chicken (PHP 75, boneless teriyaki chicken thigh) instead.  My folks also tried the KKK (Krispy Kare-Kare), Tofu Hustle (Tokwa't Baboy), Aladdin's Treasure (kebab), Fire Me Up (squid), and the Catch of the Day (fish)

The food arrived within 10 minutes. We give Fat Grill an A+ for their presentation!

My yummy chicken teriyaki!! Can't believe this was just priced at PHP 75!! Talk about sulit and affordable!!

The food was great.  I mean, hello, GOOD FOOD for JUST 75 PESOS?? #WIN

I enjoyed my Chow that Chicken order so much, I can't wait to come back and try their Wild Wild West!

Fire Me Up (squid) - top
Chow that Chicken- bottom

I don't know if it's just because it was Father's Day, but the restaurant was so crowded-- given that the place was so small pa!

They had a limited number of tables inside the place; they had two or three outside the restaurant, tho. But aside from that, we enjoyed our stay in the restaurant, and would definitely go back! :)

Thank you for the good food, Fat Grill!

HANAKO: An Affordable Japanese Restaurant along Don Antonio, Holy Spirit Drive

Shoutout to my fellow Don Antonio peeps!! :)

Don Antonio is a strip along Holy Spirit (near Commonwealth) that might just be the next Katipunan or Maginhawa. It's filled with so many establishments like start-up restaurants, pizza places, coffee shops, fast food chains, salons, spa centres, banks, groceries, etc.

One of my favorite parts in Don Antonio is The Rock, a dainty mall just in front of Robinson's Super Market. At the top floor is HANAKO, an affordable Japanese restaurant that we recently discovered.

My folks and I LOVE Japanese food. Before, whenever we wanted, let's say, tempura and salmon sashimi for dinner, we usually drove all the way to Tomas Morato to visit our favorite restaurant-- so can you imagine the happiness we felt when we found out that there's a really good Japanese place just 5 minutes away from our house??

5 Star Roll - 189 Pesos
Rating 4.5/5

Salmon Sashimi- 148 pesos
Rating: 4/5

Tempura- 229 pesos
Rating: 4/5

Sukiyaki- 149 pesos
Rating: 5/5 (It's my favorite!!!! I love their sukiyaki!!)

Kani Salad- 139 pesos
Rating: 3/5

Katsu : 188 pesos
Rating: 4/5

Salmon sushi (I forgot the price)

Overall Rating: 4/5

* Good food
* Very Affordable Prices
*Nice ambiance
* Their sukiyaki is a must try

*Slow service
*No Wifi
*The place is small (and crowded sometimes)

What I like most about this place is that it's affordable, compared to other Japanese restaurants. The food is good-- but it isn't really that special-- however, given that the price range is just 150-200+ pesos , it's already a great deal. :)

We're already regular customers of Hanako.
If you live near the area, you should try this place out! :) You'll enjoy the food as much as we did!

7 Reasons Why I'm Going Back to Bag O' Shrimps (Even Though I'm Allergic to Shrimp!)

Yep, I've said it numerous times on the blog now: I'm allergic to seafood. When I eat shrimps, I get rashes the same night--  but hey, good food is always worth the risk, and there's nothing an antihistamine can't fix, right? Lol.  :P

Last week, I was invited by Bag O' Shrimps to try out their food, and they were even so kind enough to extend the invite to my friends! Of course, I dragged my sorority sisses with me right after school just because we needed a quick detox from all the hell that finals week have been giving us. (FYI, I cried that same day cause I was having panic attacks for my report in a class. Lol. So thank you, Bag O' Shrimps, for this much needed break!)

Bag O' Shrimps is located at 3rd floor Mega Atrium of SM Megamall, just right in front Sambokojin. They also have another branch at Upper Mckinley Road, Taguig.

Anyhoo, we were all so pleased with the food and the service, that we swore we'd be coming back again to this restaurant. Here are 7 reasons why:

1. "It's like Dampa, only more sosyal."

I kept saying this all night as a joke, but seriously. The price of their menu doesn't differ much from that of Dampa's, plus, their food is just as, if not more, delicious!

Here's a quick look at their menu. They offer different kinds of seafood like shrimps, crabs, clams, and mussels. You get to choose their flavors, too! They've got Bag O' Momma (mildly spicy), Lemon Pepper (Medium), Cajun (Hot), and Garlic Butter (Very Hot). You also have the option to add sausages and even corn!

They also offer appetizers like sweet potato fries, onion rings, french fries,  and the crowd favorite dynamite sticks (aka cheesy jalapeno rolls!)

2. Their comfy nautical-themed interiors are A+

Everything reminded me of a wharf, which was awesome. I love how they paid attention to details!

3. You get to eat with your hands!

I mean, c'mon! What better excuse is there to wear an awesome bib get all messy?? Woot woot!

Oh, say hi to Marga, April, Meriel, Shane, Bekai, and Ken!

We loved our Bag O' Shrimps bibs and gloves! Lol.

This was the calm before the storm.

The shrimps and mussels were placed inside bags, and hot steamed rice in bowls; everything was set on a boodle fight-inspired mat on the table, which was pretty darn fun. LET THE EATING COMMENCE.

4. Which also means, you get to talk with your friends more (refer to #3).

Because our hands were all filled with delicious shrimps, we didn't bother checking on our phones every 5 minutes. We just kept talking to each other for the whole 2 hours, AND WE HAD A GREAT TIME.

Bag O' Shrimps is proud of their mantra, and we totally couldn't agree more with it: it's always better to EAT WITH YOUR HANDS!!!

It was everyone's favorite appetizer-- we had to fight over who gets to eat the last piece. Lol.

It was surprising for me, really, cause I'm usually not a fan of spicy food. But I fell in love with these dynamite sticks. They're crispy, they're loaded with cheese, and they're... AMAZING. Ugh. You just have to try it. YOU. HAVE. TO.

This photo was grabbed from my sis, Meriel Rolle.

They also served yummy potato fries!!

6. Their food slays.

Marga, my sorority sis who grew up in Zamboanga, a place known for great seafood, even gave this restaurant a two thumbs up!!

When I got home that night, I told my dad all about my experience and promised him I'll take the family out here. He was surprised, really, cause he knew I wasn't a fan of seafood (because, duh, allergies), but Bag O' Shrimps is a total game-changer. #TeamAntiHistamine #ForTheLoveOfGoodFood #YOLO

7. Bag O' Shrimps does not just offer good food; they also give you a different kind of dining experience.

Thank you for introducing me to the awesome world of sea food, B.O.S! Can't wait til my next visit.

Cafe Travel: The Cutest Cafe in Taft!

I don't know if it's just me, but haven't you noticed that cute Korean cafes are a thing in the Philippines now?

From Noriter, to Cafe De Seoul, and now, Cafe Travel-- a cozy place for students to chill and hangout along Taft, Manila.

I was with my besites (aka former roomies) when we discovered this. We had a quick mani-pedi date that afternoon and decided to spend the night together over coffee.

Say hello to Ji and Micah, guys!

Loving their cute interiors!

People are allowed to post whatever they want on the walls inside each room

What's unique about this cafe is that customers are free to get cozy and to "feel at home". They can sit on the floor, and even lie down with pillows.

Coffee isn't really my thing, so I had a yummy vanilla frappe instead.
(A+ for their presentation! lol)

Mandatory food shots for Instagram purposes lol

I love how they utilized space and provided a second floor! Aaagh! It just made everything more dainty and cute <3

Shoes-off zone

Cafe Travel provides coffee and cake, tho I honestly think they're quite pricey for college students like me (menu ranges from 180-200+, as far as I can remember). Tho it's not bad to visit there every once in a while! It's a fun place to have  your meetings or detox sessions after a tiring day of taking exams :)

Cafe Travel is located at Archer's Nook Center, 2624 Taft Avenue, Malate, Manila.

The Famous Ippudo Ramen Is Now In Manila (SM Megamall Fashion Hall) !!

Ippudo was founded in 1985 in Japan's ramen capital of Hakata by Shigemi Kawahara, the internationally renowned Ramen King. It's a huge craze in the ramen world, and it's such great news to hear that IPPUDO is finally here in MANILA!!

This magical kingdom of delicious ramen is located at the third floor of SM Megamall Fashion Hall. We had to fall in line for 30 minutes just to get inside the restaurant--- it's that much of a craze. But don't worry, because the waiting period was so worth it. My family and I LOVED dinner that night!

The place was big but very busy and crowded. A lot of people were eating inside; seriously, like there was not even an empty table in sight.

Ippudo doesn't allow reservations to be made, nor do they allow take-out. This is to ensure quality of their food and service, I guess. After all, ramen is made to be eaten quickly as soon as it is served :)

Check out their modern interior.

I had a SHIROMARU CHASHU (Shiromaru with simmered pork belly; 470PHP), while my mom and dad had the SHIROMARU SPECIAL.

Ippudo's serving size was huge! My sister and I weren't that hungry, so we shared one bowl and it was just enough for both of us. Seriously. It's that big. :))

To say that their ramen was delicious is an understatement. Everything was perfect-- from the pork, to the vegetables, to the flavours, and down to the temperature of the soup and the texture of the noodles. The price and long waiting period were really worth it.

Darn it, I'm already craving for ramen right now. =))

1. Curry Cheese Harumaki (190 PHP)

Oh god I fell in love with these rolls! Imagine hot cheese oozing from inside the crispy fried wrapping!!! Yum yum yum!

2.  Salad (around 200PHP)

3. Steamed dumplings

These were also sooo good!!!!

4.  Karaage

You know how serious I am with chicken! I love love love fried chicken, and this karaage was a winner for me!!! The flavours blended well together and it was such a delight just stuffing my mouth with this!!

Thanks for the amazing dinner, Ippudo!!

It was Christmas season when we went here so the mall was open til 12MN. My folks and I stayed up til late at night just because we had such a good time together haha.

If you guys happen to drop by SM Megamall Fashion Hall, make sure to eat at Ippudo because, trust me, their ramen is incredible! :)

Mateo's Restaurant Cafe: A Spanish-Filipino Restaurant at Malakas Street

I'm very giddy right now as I write this. I am just so excited to share with you all my newest discovery at the heart of Malakas street--a homey Spanish-inspired restaurant called Mateo's.

Two weeks ago, we got invited to a food-tasting event at Mateo's. And grabe lang ha! This was honestly the most fun I ever had in an event yet! :) Thank you so much to Mateo's and to Ms. Dina of DigitalMedia PH for inviting me to this super fun evening  :)

Activity #1
"Gingerbread House"

To break the ice, we started off with a gingerbread house decorating contest!

Everyone was soooo delighted to play around with icing and candies. When I was a kid, my mom would always bring home a gingerbread house for Christmas. The houses stopped coming when I turned older, and it wasn't until this time that I finally got to play with one again.

We were divided into 4 teams, and the team with the prettiest house gets to take the gingerbread home with them; the members of the winning team just have to talk among themselves who gets to take the house home, which is, DUH, where the real competition happens. HAHAHAHA!!

Say hello to my team! :) Pat Lou (blogger behind and Ms. Rosey :)

Ta-da! Look at our masterpiece. Hehe.

Check out the works of the other teams! :)

didn't win...... but we had fun, and that's what matters most, right? :( =)))))))))

Wanna decorate your own gingerbread house? Check this out! :)

Other than gingerbread houses, it also rained cupcakes that night. <3 Yum!

Okay, introduction time! These two fellas, Ms. Lala and Sir Miko, are just some of the amazing people behind Mateo's.
Fun fact: Mateo's was actually a house before it was a restaurant.
Another fun fact: Sir Miko is holding a photo of his great grand father, Mateo, who was a former HUKBALAHAP member--- he was the inspiration behind this restaurant.

Gotta love their beautiful, homey interior! Mateo's function room has good lighting and air conditioning as well.

For those looking for venues, Mateo's is the perfect place to hold your parties :) Check these out

Their garden + another function room

Activity #2

Ms. Rosey taught us how to prettify our cords/chargers with yarn! :)

Check these out! So cuute :)

Do you want to learn how to crochet as well?

Activity #3
"Spanish class"

Senorita Kara taught us some basic Spanish as well. I really enjoyed this part! I took 6 units of Spanish last school year, and I must admit, foreign language isn't my forte. I've always found it difficult to learn a language, but attending this short class refreshed me with the basics of Spanish once again. :) We had so much fun too because the class was so interactive.

And now, for the post you've all been waiting for:

I am very much in love with Mateo's Restaurant and Cafe. Their food was nothing short of amazing, and everything tasted so authentic and homey. The presentation was an A+ too. The price is affordable, ranging from 200-600 pesos, as far as I remember.

Spinach Quesadilla (a favorite of mine!!)

Tapa + mushrooms

 Paella--- everyone's favorite!!! <3

They offer both Spanish paella and paella Negra :) Yum yum yum!

Their kare-kare is amazing, too.

The pasta, two thumbs up! :)

Best blueberry cheesecake I've ever had in the Philippines. It reminded me so much of the Cheesecake Factory in the USA. :) It's that good.

Of course, a post is never complete without obligatory photo ops! hhehe :)

Say hi to Ms. Dina of DigitalMediaPh :) Thank you so much, Ms. Dina! :)

With fellow bloggers and Ms. Lala, co-owner of Mateo's !! :)

With the owners of Mateo's Restaurant and Cafe :)

So happy to have met new blogger friends that night! :)
Shout out to Patty of (, Cyrene of (, Lou, and to the rest of these pretty girls :)!

My rating?
A 5/5! I had so much fun.
Mateo's Restaurant and Cafe has
  • a homey, comfy ambiance (we stayed at the function room)
  • good lighting
  • fast wifi
  • good airconditioning
  • an affordable menu
  • amazing food
  • polite servers

The best part is that everything looks so artsy and hipster. Lol.

I actually enjoyed Mateo's so much that I brought my family there with me two weeks in a row!

My family loved the food and place. My well-travelled dad was impressed with the food because it tasted very authentic.

The second time I brought my family here was just last Tuesday. We had "balikbayans" (our cousin Tim and his girlfriend Stephanie) from Los Angeles. They LOVED the food. Stephanie had bagnet for the very first time, and she loved it so much. The paella was a winner as well. They loved everything, actually.

For dessert, we tried cheesecake and moist chocolate cake. We have decided that we didn't know which one was our favorite. We loved both cakes. :)

You may call them at 433-80-33

I am so happy just writing this post! Thank you for the wonderful experience each time I visit, Mateo's. My family and I are now regular customers of yours!

The way it works is that by drinking only nutritional juices, the digestion improves and more vitamins and antioxidants are being absorbed into your blood, eliminating the unwanted compounds such as toxins and oxidation agents." -- Winter, D.

Uncle Tetsu Philipines: The Hot Asian Cheesecake Craze Is Finally Here!!

Ever heard of Uncle Tetsu's famous hot cheesecakes? Japan, Taiwan, and Singapore are all going crazy about it (as in, people line up at the store for HOURS just to get hold of their cheesecake fix), and thank goodness this best-selling cheesecake finally arrived here in the Philippines!

I got so excited when my sister and I were invited to visit the country's first ever Uncle Tetsu branch last month. Its first store is located at the upperground floor annex building of SM Fairview, but we're all looking forward to more branches around the metro this year. Yipeee!!!

Originating from Japan, Uncle Tetsu takes pride in having perfected the art of making Japanese cheesecake- a balance of flavor and form. Each cake is made from only the freshest eggs and cream cheese, creating a distinctive light, fluffy, melt-in-your-mouth, and preservative-free dessert that's very famous in Asia today.

The great thing about Uncle Tetsu's cheesecakes is that they make sure every cake is freshly made for the customers. We even got to see how they make their famous cheesecakes up close. Lookie-Look!

First, after steam-baking the cakes for 40 minutes, the batch is brought out of the oven to cool down.

It was so cute seeing the cakes in pot-looking pans!!! heehee

Next step, everyone's favorite part:
the cheesecakes are "stamped" with Uncle Tetsu's uber cute logo!

Just looking at this warm, fluffy cheesecake makes my mouth drool! Yum yum yum!

Then, they store these delicious, warm cakes in the famous Uncle Tetsu boxes.

Everything in their packaging (from the box down to the wrapper and the paper bag) is imported from Singapore. :)

WOAH! Look at that line! It's no doubt that this newly opened store will definitely be a big hit here in the Philippines as well. If you google Uncle Tetsu in other countries, it's a BIG BIG BIG craze today!

With one of the owners of Uncle Tetsu Philippines, Mr. Carl Co!

With my sister, Hiyasmin Neri, and Carl Co :)

Thank you for our week-long supply of yummy cake (lol), Uncle Tetsu Philippines!!!
Everyone in the house loved your cheesecakes! My parents, who are both health-conscious doctors, are a fan of your cakes because Uncle Tetsu Cheesecakes are definitely healthier options for desserts :)

Each cake just costs 299 pesos!

What we love most about Uncle Tetsu cheesecakes is that they're very light and fluffy, and unlike New York cheesecakes, they're not that sweet. Their mild taste is just perfect. The best part? They melt in your mouth!!!

Originally, they're created to be eaten while they're hot and fresh out of the oven, but I prefer refrigerating them first, because I'm a fan of cold cakes hihi. My mom, however, prefers heating them first :)

Like their Facebook page for more details

And make sure to visit their branch to get your own hot (or cold, whichever way you like em hehe) Asian Cheese Cake!!!!!! <3

I'm definitely going back because I'm craving for one now!!

Featured: Yabu: The House of Katsu

Everyone's been blogging about Yabu ever since last year. It's just sad that it was only a month ago when I finally had the chance to try it out!

My family and I tried out the SM North Edsa branch. The place was clean and it was able to accommodate a lot of customers!

While waiting for our orders, our server explained to us how to make our own sauce.

It was fun grinding these! hehe

Our orders came in after about 10-15 minutes or so.
Yabu served in really big portions! Plus, they had unli-soup, unli-rice, unli-fruits, unli-sidedish, and unli-tea, too!!!

I ordered pork tongkatsu (180 grams) ! It was too big for me, actually, so I didn't get to finish it. :( But it was super delicious! Yabu has offered me the best tongkatsu dish I've ever had!

My family tried out another set. It had chicken and seafood tongkatsu :)

All in all, I'd rate my experience in Yabu a 5/5! We were really happy with our meals. Although it was really pricey (price range is 400 pesos and higher), it was totally worth it! The food was served in super big portions, and it was super yummy, too!

Thanks for a great dining experience, Yabu!

Featured: Vanilla Cupcake Bakery

I don't even know why I'm posting this in the middle of the night-- I actually have to wake up super duper early today because I've a 6AM call time to follow. BUUUUUTTTTT you know me, I tend to do -everything at once- just when I'm about to get to bed. =))

Anyway, this is just one of the long list of backlogs I've got to catch up with. Around two months ago, my aunties from Australia, together with Mom and I, went to Vanilla Cupcake Bakery at UP Town Center for some last minute bonding before they fly back to the land down under.

I've got to say, props to the store for their really cute and dainty interiors! The atmosphere was very comfy, which was a perfect place for us to chitchat. I haven't tasted their cupcakes yet, though I did get myself an Oreo Cheesecake on my last visit, which I really loved, by the way. But this time around, I bought a Red Velvet Cheesecake, which was okay (aka my heart still belongs to the Oreo Cheesecake hehehe). The "tanders" got themselves coffee and tea, obviously.

(I just find the mismatched chairs adorable!!)

With the mother and the aunts :)

And oh my gosh, it's 1AM already?! Okay, I better go to sleep now. Haffta wake up in three hours. Yikes!!

Feaured: Steveston Pizza at the UP Town Center

I have this undying love and passion-- and everything else in between-- for this thing called pizza. I mean, who doesn't?? But let me tell you, my standards for what makes a good pizza has taken on a whole new level after we tried Steveston Pizza at the UP Town Center!

I went with my mom and my aunts from Australia. We actually went there for a food trip (yes, the love for food and for eating actually runs in the family haha), you know, where we could just enjoy meals and dine in where our hearts would take us. For our first stop, we wanted to try out something unusual, and with what we saw from outside this restaurant-- pictures of different kinds of pizza (some of which I haven't even heard of before!) posted on the wall for everyone to see-- , we knew right away that this was the sort of ice breaker we were looking for.

(here are some creepy stalker photos that I took of the guy in charge of all the magic he he he)

Oh yeah, cheese!

More and more and more cheese!

And voila! The pizza we ordered was called "Blue". It consisted of rosemary, mushrooms, bacon, cheese, etc!!! And can I tell you one thing about it?? It was pure heaven! We finished eating this baby in less than 10 minutes HAHAHA! It was THAT good. The best part? We didn't feel bloated afterwards (eek, I hate getting bloated). It was probably because the pizza wasn't oily/greasy. The dough was perfect, too! And the cheese was excellent (ultra mega cheese lover over here!!! :P)

Me likes mah pizza hot.

Happy customers!! ;)

Up until now, my mouth still waters for pizza at Steveston.
(I honestly think I haven't had any pizza better than the one I had here lol nope im not over reacting).
I can't wait to go back there and try out their other flavors! :)

PS. Check out my next blog posts this week to find out where else in UP Town Center we went on a food trip to HAHAHA.

Featured: Stacy's @ The Fort

Remember Stacy's, the 1950's-themed restaurant I wrote a review on HERE?
Well, they've opened another branch at the Fort !! :)
Yep, double the happiness it is!

Being a fan of the 50's, I can't help but get all giddy whenever I'm inside Stacy's.  C'mon, I love how they're so consistent with the atmosphere of the place (from interiors, down to the music, down to everything).
(there's also a pink fridge inside, guys!! *no photo of it, sorry*)

And their food, I tell you, is SUPERB!

Kiddie area

I've always dreamt of having a bike like this one.

This time, we thought of having breakfast for dinner. So we changed from our regular order of pastas and ribs to a much more comforting and familiar variety, like tapa, bangus, and adobo. And I kid you not, we totally do not regret a thing! :) We REALLY enjoyed our meals. :P

I'll give it a 10/10! We really enjoyed this one. It had layers of white cheese underneath as well :P
C'mon, the more cheese, the better! teehee.

Yummy adobo flakes!

We really enjoyed the bangus, too! It's really a must try!

Delicious tapa!

Buffalo wings is always a good idea <3

Happy family,
happy tummies!

Before we left the place, we were also given two bowls of sundae. We got em for free because, apparently, the owner of Stacy's was a friend of my sister. Awesomesauce!!

And now for my #OOTN , lol.

Denim polo: online shop
Mint green skirt: bazaar
Neon flats: Primmadonna ( a gift from my friend! :D )
Bag: Bagellia Filipinas

Visit Stacy's at The Fort!
They're located at Rizal Drive, Bonifacio Global City :)

Featured: Tagaytay Highlands Steakhouse

Hi. I'm Hershey and I take my steak seriously.

One Sunday, my parents woke us up from bed and declared that they had an intense craving for steak (THAT and they wanted an ultimate family bonding experience, too, lol).  So we packed our bags, hopped in our family car and went to one of the best authentic steakhouses ever:

the Tagaytay Highlands Steakhouse

I love the atmosphere of the place! Sooo cozy! :)

Antlers. Antlers everywhere.

After filling our tummies with delicious meat, we ended up bumming around at the Tagaytay Highlands pool area---- with two plates of pepperoni pizza.
Yep, my family loves good food.

Very blessed and thankful for family days,

Featured! Vikings Luxury Buffet: A Feast From the Sea

Y'all know how serious I can get when it comes to my food.
I mean, c'mon! Eating is like, one of my best talents---and apparently, gaining weight, too. hihihihi.

Anyway, I just want to share you one new buffet place I discovered just last February. It's called Vikings, and it's located near Mall of Asia. The best part? It's eat-all-you-can AND drink-all-you-can! Haha!

Vikings, which is open for 7 days a week, offers a lot of variety, from Japanese cuisine, to Chinese, to Western, to Filipino, to Italian, and to Korean as well. Its spacious venue has a capacity of 600 guests.
They charge P688 for lunch on weekdays and P888 for dinner on both weekdays and  weekends. However, kids below three feet eat for free, and senior citizens 75 years old and above get a fifty percent discount!

My photos don't do any justice at all, I'm sorry. HAHAHAHA!
I wasn't able to take photos of every corner of the place just because  IT. IS. JUST. SUPER. DARN. HUGE--- and plus, I was too busy stuffing myself fat. Hihihi. Sooooo, I hope you could bear with these ones:

The super star of the night:
Yup, I'm a girl who takes her meat a whole lot seriously.

I just found this too cute, okay. HAHA!

Do you see what I see?
Yep. SEAFOOD. <3

My favorite <3

IDK what caught my attention first.

Deep-fried, anyone?

And for my favorite course of every meal:

This is heaven, I am not even kidding.

I will always be a sucker for putobumbong. <3

Taho! :)

Fun fun fun!

Oh darn. I did not just see that plate of red velvet cake...............................
oh gahd i am craving for some right now =)))

Drink-all-you-can includes unlimited soda, beer, coffee, and fruit shakes!! woot woot!

There's also a shabu-shabu pot on every table :D

We are happy customers with even happier bellies! woot woot!

Vikings is undoubtedly THE best buffet place in Manila!
They have great service and they serve such superb food!
I want to go back there again some time so I can take better photos and write a better review. Lol. Forgive me for this super lazy post.
I'm just lazy as lazy cold possibly be, as of the moment. Oh, and school starts tomorrow, so... yippeee. :|

Featured: Stacy's (a 1950's - themed restaurant)

Right after our church service yesterday, my family and I got into the car and asked each other one question, "Where should we eat lunch?"
Someone suggested that we should eat something Japanese, and we all said "naah, we always eat Japanese food". Someone also suggested Italian, but we realized that we're tired of the same old stuff.

And then, in that sec, I blurted out "Hey, let's try Stacy's! My friends have been raving about it all summer".

Thank heavens for 3G, I was able to google the restaurant's exact address.

We found out that it was actually located at the first floor of the Capitol Greenstreet Commercial Center (where Dencio's is, haha) along 1 Capitol Hills Drive. Great, it's so near our place! :)

When we got down the car, we were immediately greeted by the waitress wearing a cute Cath Kidston apron! heehee!

Instant good vibes! :)

When I stepped into the place, I immediately fell in love with it!
Fun fact: I am a big fan of the 50s era! In fact, I just celebrated my Sweet Sixteen
in the theme of the 50s! Stacy's Restaurant was actually my inspiration for
the party decorations. Though I haven't been to this place during that time,
I've known about it because my friends have been telling me that it's

Children's playing pen

Happy people dining in this happy place!

When we got to our table, the waitress served us a pot full of cute appetizers!

The presentation of the menu was so cute, and the names and description of the meals were so enticing!

These were the stuff we had:

1. Strawberry milk shake for me! :)

Verdict: I'd rate it a 3.8 / 5
The ice cream on top was heavenly! But I personally think that the milk shake was too sweet (probably because of the syrup), but I'm not really complaning (at all) ! Haha! All in all, it was a pretty darn good drink. :D Yumm.

2. Dad had his coffee fix for the day

The biscuit. Oh oh oh! And the presentation!! Oh my goodness. It was so darn cute!!

3. Desserts first! Choco Lava with ice cream on top!
Yep, we had sweets before the real meal. #BADASS #WHATTT
Verdict: 4/5! Good job! Yummm.

4. Carbonara :)
A classic. My sister and I LOVED it. I'd rate it a perfect FIVE OUT OF FIVE! The presentation, the temperature, the quality... everything was perfect. :)

5. Ribs
Verdict: 4/ 5
The ribs were delicious, I must admit, but it seemed like it was lacking "something". I just can't explain what that something was. But all in all, it was pretty good. Ribs have always been my favorite.

Oh, and plus points for the super duper cute heart-shaped rice!

Other stuff we had  (that I wasn't able to take photos of, heehee):
~ mushroom soup: 5/5! My mother loved the soup so much. She kept saying "delicious" after each slurp.

~ salad: my parents had some salad, too. They said it was delicious but the serving wasn't enough for them (probably because it was too delicous, they wanted more! haha)
Okay, now that I'm done showing you what we had for lunch, let me tour you around the place!

The counter was so nice. And the lady there looked like such a cutie patootie! I love her outfit!

I am so getting myself a pink refrigerator one day. MARK MY WORDS.

The cute display of the desserts! And as i'm writing this post, I'm craving for that apple pie right there (yep, the one on the red plate). *oh, if only we could eat the photos straight from the computer screen! haha, whatttt*

I love their attention to details. Saw this tiny little popcorn maker on display.

This pink phone caught my attention. How girly!! :) <3 I'm such a sucker for girly stuff.

I love the fact that all waitresses were wearing cute Cath Kidston aprons! Soo dainty! :)

Cute vintage stuff on display! :)

Don't you think the place is just so cute? I promised myself that I'm going to have
my room decorated like this in the near future. HAHAHA.

I love Stacy's!
The 50s music + the scrumptious food + the pretty interior+ the friendly servers = A HAPPY ME!

My friends also told me I should try their cream dory! I am so gonna try that out next time! :D

My over all rating of Stacy's : 9/10 !

  • The food is so, soooo good! It's my kind of "feel good + comfort food". Oh, and it's not expensive either!
  • As I said before, I'm a fan of the 50s, so the place was just like heaven to me!
  • The place was full of smiles. I'm sure it will never fail to make anyone smile while they're there!

Oh, and as we were about to leave our table, the waitress approached us with a light blue sticky note in hand. She asked us to write something on it. My forever bibbo Daddy got the pen and wrote something like "EXCELENTE! Out of this world!"
Naks! and FYI, my dad's kinda hard to please. So good job, Stacy's! You jut got yourselves regular customers!

This is my "I'm-so-happy-we-discovered-a-new-place-to-eat-but-i-find-it-kinda-awkward-that-my-dress-matches-the-place" face! haha!

See you real soon, Stacy's!

A Free Drink For Me! ☺

Last Monday, I came home to this:

Wow. As in, SUPER DUPER WOW. It's one thing to win contests like this. I mean, c'mon! Not everyone gets to win!

But it's ANOTHER thing to have your blog promoted on a well-known and respected Tea Shop's Official Like Page!! I was literally doing mah happy dance when I saw this. A lot of friends tweeted to congratulate me and stuff. I was flattered, and humbled, and everything in between.

This was such a surprise for me.I was the very definition of happy, shocked, honored, and speechless.
Oh, thank you thank you thank you, Moonleaf Don Antonio!

Thank you for this wonderful blessing!

December 7, 2011
It was a super tiring day.
Firstly, I didnt get to eat breakfast because I had to rush going to school. I didnt want to be late for the 21st time!!
Secondly, I didn't get to eat during snack time because I was totally pissed off by some people *long story*
Thirdly, I didn't get to eat merienda after going to school, because I had to WALK to House of Dance to pay my dance recital fees.

Omg, what is super duper tiring!! I was soooo frakin drained.

So when I got home, I was really tired and hungry. BUT I had to take a shower because in any minute, my friends, who just came from  basketball varsity training at our village's covered court, would be coming over.  We promised each other that we would ride a tricycle together going to Moonleaf.

Back story:
Hershey: so.... maglalakad lang tayo going there?
Hershey: *senses the sarcasm behind his voice*
-raha, hershey, and dave walk going out of the village-
Raha: Ba't ganyan suot mo?
Hershey: Anong problema mo?
Raha: Tingnan mo naman kami *points at his 'training attire'
Hershey: Okay lang yan, para magmukha akong donya habang naglalakad, tas kayo body guards ko.
-we walked pass by some tricycle drivers-
Hershey: Guys, kapag nilapitan ako ng mga lalake, poprotektahan niyo ako diba?
Dave: Tatakbuhan namin sila, siyempre
Raha: onga, baka mapahamak pa kami dahil sayo eh
Dave: isusurrender pa nga namin ikaw sakanila eh
Raha: Or better yet, tulungan namin silang saktan ka

I dressed up simply. I wasn't going anywhere fancy, anyway.
After all, this was just a spur-of-the-moment gimmick with my highschool friends.
Plus, I needed to go to Moonleaf today because this day was the last day of the claiming of prizes.

Top:  Blue and white checkered polo
bottom: denim shorts
Black flats: Mario D Boro

So this is a photo of me claiming my prize.
I was a tad bit awkward at first, because I didnt know how to..... uhm, order.

I was like "how am I going to tell the girl that im going to order, but it's for free, because i won a game "
was i supposed to say something like, "hi, i won the game. so where's my prize?"
or should i say something like "one wintermelon for free, please"

These words just came out of my mouth all of  a sudden "Hi. I'm Hershey. Uhh, I won this game. Here's my ID"
And I showed her my ID.
The girl gave out a super warm smile.

I noticed that all my friends just came from training.
Dave and Raha trained for basketball.
Baba came from her Dance Company training.

Hershey: Guys, TANUNGIN NIYO AKO KUNG NAGTRAINING BA AKO TODAY! *sarcastic voice with matching exagge hand that points toward my clothes*

Buti nalang talaga nag pantalon na si Dave at si Raha. Kung nag basketball shorts pa sila, nako sobrang out of place ko na.

I feel so.... unathletic.
I don't even know how to freakin dance, for goodness' sake!!

Baba and I getting comfy at the sofa!

Wintermelon Milk Tea for Hershey! With matching smiley faces!

Ha!! Not everyone gets to have "congratulations" written on their cup!!
*insert gloating face here*

PS. I recommend that you guys try Wintermelon with Nata and Pearls!! AMAZZZZIIIING!

With Baba, my childhood friend, and Raha, my guy best friend! :)

I also noticed that they only offer colored pens to be borrowed now....Wala ng sharpie pens.
Maybe because they saw the photo na tumagos yung ink ng permanent pentel pen sa table. omg, im so sorry, moonleaf! lol

Remember how I said that I looked forward to having happy moments at moonleaf don antonio?
well, this is one of them!
We didnt mind any of the occasional stares that the people would give us.
We made a fool of ourselves and made the tea shop our own studio!

 Aren't we just HAHA

Cocoy and Dave's candid shot.
Lol Dave, ba't parang wagas kang sumipsip? HAHA!

Baba, Me, Cocoy, Dave

Hi guys! Say what's up to da Budoys!

Say hey to the losers!

Say hello to miss aerobics =))

lol our version of "No Other Woman" 's poster.

Haha good times!

We did a prank on Raha and hid his cellphone number here.

Oh look! My note's still here! Plus I know the people who wrote on the other notes!

Before heading home, I said goodbye to the owners of the shop, who were chilling outside the store.

the cool thing about one of the owners is that he is THE Japoy Lizardo- you know, the gold medalist in Taekwando SEA GAMES, aka the Milo taekwando kid.
Nothing, just thought it was worth sharing. Mehehehe. Cool, right? I basically got star-struck or something.

sir Japoy and sir Jian congratulated me. They were so welcoming and kind! And young!!!!

Moonleaf is such a chill place! Definitely going back there.
Thanks again, Moonleaf Don Antonio!
I ended up going home one hour past my "school night curfew" which is 7:30pm.
Haha! Since Dave and I are practically neighbors, I decided to make "sabay" sa car niya. His driver eventually came at around..8:30. HAHAHAHA!

Oh well, there's school tomorrow.
Ugh, I hate Math... just saying.

Bye guys!
